The UK format pavers usually come as 100mm x 200mm x 60/65mm deep and are laid flat
The European pavers usually come 52mm x 218mm long and are 72mm deep

Vandersanden Manufacturing Innovation Tackles Efflorescence
Exposed walls, and even semi-protected house facades suffer with Efflorescence. What is Efflorescence ?
Simply put, it is the migration of soluble Salts that exist naturally in many brick making clays from deep inside the fired brick to the surface.
This manifests itself as a White stain or coating . Although this can be washed off , it does tend to re-appear many times.
For many people these white salt stains can spoil the appearance of the wall or property , and efforts are made to remove them.
What if the bricks are coated with a Silicone sealant ?
Almost all built brickwork will have a significant amount of water content.
So applying a silicone sealant retrospectively will just seal the moisture in and create a permanent problem.
The new innovation from Vandersanden is to use a process they translate into English as ‘Lacquering’, which helps to seal the brick whilst it is still in the factory. Watch the video to learn more.
